Ossie quickly gained two spots running in 3rd, yet again only being passed by Jamie Mcdonald. Jamie was deemed running on the grass penalising him a position. Ossie came home in 3rd with a podium finish. It's been a while since we have seen him up there at the Springs.

The relaxed attitude seems to be working so far this season. Two meetings in a row that the car has been brought home in one piece. Only home this continues.
1st Heat Sprintcar Race Two
Started from grid 4. Kerry Jones being the only to pass Ossie, left him finishing in 5th place.

2nd Heat Sprintcar Race Three
Starting from grid 5. Ossie was up into 3rd by the time they got to turn 3, when Jamie McDonald got together with another car in turn 3 and ended up falling on his side. Jamie was able to restart the race, as a full lap was not completed it was a complete restart. Within in two laps Ossie was back into 3rd position and that is where he finished.

Starting grids 35,18,7,84,56,10,27,63,47 off grid 9. Start of race turn 1/2 Pickerill and Jones got together. Complete restart. Few laps down when cars 75,11 & 76 got together resulting in car 76 upside down. Race was declared a couple of laps later. Not sure of the placings of the front cars, but after several protest and relegations Wakeo was annouced the winner. Ossie came in 6th.
Well the decision had been made just prior to the 1st practice 20 October that Ossie would not be racing this season. We decided that we would go and have a nosey at the practice anyway. Ossie sat there very agitated watching everyone doing their hotlaps out on the track and that's when he decided that he dose not make a very good spectator. Tuesday he made a couple of phone calls and meetings have been set up with potential sponsors. We hope to have some answers by the end of the week. As the car has not been touched since it was rolled back in the garage after our last meeting last season, a few nights were spent getting it ready to go racing again. We just hope that the engine will hold out.
This season will be more of a relaxing one, Ossie intends to run all meetings at the Springs and possibly a couple at Baypark.
See you at the race track!
As you can see nothing has been done since last season. Photo from practice 27th Oct
